The Use of 3D Printing in Structural Design

The integration of 3D printing technology brings together field workers, designers, and engineers to bridge the gap between theory and practice. With this technology, engineers and designers now have the capability to create physical models using soft materials through 3D printing, allowing them to simulate designs before they are sent for final fabrication.

Conveyor Idler Noise

Conveyor noise is generated by bulk material impacts, drives, vibrating structures, ancillary equipment and conveyor idlers. Previously, idler noise was evaluated with self-noise experiments. More recently, idler noise experiments have changed to measure operating-noise which is created by the interaction of the conveyor belt and the idler.
