Position Overview

Due to an increased demand for our services, we are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to join our Brisbane team. In this role you will work on and lead structural projects, as well as larger multidisciplinary projects. You will report to the supervising structural engineer in our Brisbane office and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, aligning with the company’s values while contributing to our quality and safety systems. Some travel to project sites will be required for short durations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of structural projects for ASPEC clients and oversee larger multidisciplinary projects.
• Utilise structural analysis and design software, including FEA software.
• Apply knowledge of relevant Australian Standards in your work.
• Demonstrate strong design and problem-solving skills.
• Provide technical and commercial leadership to project teams.
• Foster effective communication and interpersonal relationships with clients and team members.
• Engage in business development activities to support company growth.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings clearly.
• Leverage site experience to inform project execution.
• Work with heavy structural engineering for steel, concrete, and foundation works.
• Contribute to the design of materials handling systems.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering.
• CPEng and RPEQ certifications.
