Mobile cranes are widely used in the engineering industry for the construction and assembly of heavy machinery, infrastructure and other large payloads. Often, spatial requirements will dictate the type and size of crane to be used. In this article, the author details ASPEC’s tools used to select cranes and aid in design decisions relating to the assembly of lifted components.
